SonachandiLiveTODAY'S RATES. A BRIGHTER TOMORROW.

SONACHANDILIVE TRUST CENTRE

Rate Methodology

This page explains what SonachandiLive's displayed reference rates and historical records mean, including their limits.

Current reference rates

SonachandiLive maintains one current displayed Gold reference rate in Indian rupees per 10 grams and one current displayed Silver reference rate in Indian rupees per kilogram. These rates do not encode Gold karat or Silver purity, so they are not presented as 24K, 22K, 999, 925 or sterling quotes.

Displayed rates are reference information, not an exchange close, executable dealer quote or government rate.

Retained historical observations

Historical charts use genuinely retained SonachandiLive rate-change records. For each metal and each Asia/Kolkata calendar date, the final retained observation for that date is shown.

If no observation exists for a date, that date remains missing. SonachandiLive does not interpolate, forward-fill, zero-fill or invent a historical rate.

Period comparisons

For 7D, 1M, 3M, 6M and 1Y selections, Period Start is the earliest actual retained observation inside the selected window and Period End is the latest actual retained observation. Period High and Period Low are the highest and lowest actual observations, and Recorded Observations is the genuine count.

A selected period may contain sparse records and does not imply complete daily market coverage. History begins with the earliest retained record.

Current and historical values

The current displayed rate and retained historical observations have separate purposes. The latest historical observation is not silently replaced with the current displayed rate and may not equal it.

Practical limitations

Dealer, jeweller, buying, selling and invoice prices may differ because of purity, making charges, wastage, taxes, margins and other transaction-specific terms. Use the calculators as transparent estimates and confirm an actual transaction with the relevant provider.
